VISHU
Vishu | Bhooshan

Vishu Bhooshan currently works as a Senior Designer at Zaha Hadid Architects as part of the Computation and Design Research (ZH CODE) group at London. He completed his bachelor degree from Pune, India (2010) and his Master’s degree at the Architectural Association, Design Research Lab (2013). He previously worked as an Architect in India at B.S Bhooshan & Associates, Mysore & Mind Space Architects, Bangalore.

His current research focuses on data driven design processes including the gathering and visualization of 3D Urban City data. He has also worked on 3D printing, topology optimisation and using statistical learning  to predict structural and material optimization results at an early design stage.

He has taught and presented/published work at various workshops, professional conferences and symposiums including ACADIA ’14, simAUD  ’15 ’17, IASS  ’16, AAG  ’16, eCAADe RIS  ’17, AAVS Global Summit  ’15, Hyper Threads AA Visiting School  ‘13 – 17’ and at various institutes in India including Anthropology Survey of India Mysore, College of Engineering Trivandrum, Indian Institute of Architects, Mysore.

ALICIA
Alicia | Nahmad

Alicia is an architect who explores design through the integration of materials and technology in relation to context specific environments. Her professional and research work has focused on exploring the relationship between architecture, technology and fabrication by implementing computational techniques on large scale design projects. She is a Ph.D. research fellow at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University where she explores the synergy between designers, materials and digital design and fabrication methods. She is also a course tutor at the Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory Master’s program.

Currently, she is an Artist-in-Residence at Autodesk Pier 9 where she is exploring novel collaborative design processes between robots, machines, designers and materials.

Previously she worked as an architect as part of the parametric team at Populous and at Zaha Hadid Architects, London and completed her Master’s degree at the AA school of Architecture, London in 2010. 

 She has taught international design-build seminars and workshops at various universities, including Belas Artes (Sao Paulo), KADK (Copenhagen), BMS College of engineering (India), Hunan University (China), Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) with Hyperthreads and the Architectural Association Visiting School. Her work and collaborations have been exhibited and presented at various events, including AAE, IJAC, TxA Emerging design + Technology, IASS – SLTE 2014, ACADIA 2014 & 2012, the London Festival of Architecture 2010, Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki, Greece and the BFI, as well as having been published in various web-based media.

DIRECTORS

Franklin Lee e Anne Save de Beaurecueil são os coordenadores e professores da AA Visiting Schools São Paulo/ Rio de Janeiro  e desde 2010 realizam uma série de oficinas que trazem arquitetos líderes de todo o mundo para repensar na paisagem urbana brasileira através da combinação de tecnologia de ponta e a exploração teórica crítica com a cultura, material e mão-de-obra local. Eles também são diretores de design do escritório paulista SUBdV, usando uma mistura de tecnologias de design alto e baixo para gerar geometrias sensíveis social e ambientalmente para projetos de arquitetura, mobiliário e design urbano. Eles lecionaram na graduação  AA Diploma Unit 2 de 2005 a 2010 e também lecionaram na Pratt Institute e Columbia University em Nova York, de onde ambos também receberam Master of Science. Eles publicaram, exibiram e ensinaram sobre seus trabalhos em todo o mundo.


Franklin Lee
 and Anne Save de Beaurecueil have been directors of the AA Visiting Schools São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro since 2010 and have run a series of workshops that bring leading architects from around the world to rethink the Brazilian urban landscape through combining cutting-edge technology and critical theoretical exploration with local culture, material and labor sources.  The are also design directors of SUBdV Architecture, using a mixture of high and low design technologies to generate socially and environmentally responsive geometries for architecture, furniture and urban design projects. They were AA Diploma Unit 2 Masters from 2005 to 2010 and taught at the Pratt Institute and Columbia University in New York, from where they both also received Master’s degrees. They have published, exhibited and lectured about their work worldwide

 

 

 

ASSISTANT TUTORS:

 Verônica Natividade é formada em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela FAU/UFRJ (2002) e Mestre em Projeto de Arquitetura pela FAU/USP (2010), com formação complementar em arquitetura paramétrica e fabricação digital pelo IAAC (2012). Possui experiência profissional em projetos de arquitetura e urbanismo. Desde de 2010, é professora do DAU/ PUC-Rio, onde leciona sistemas paramétricos generativos e fabricação digital. Foi professora visitante na Escola de Artes da Universidade de Düsseldorf (2016-2017). Alguns projetos recentes incluem a confecção dos cobogós da fachada do Consulado Português no Rio de Janeiro com alunos, uma instalação de arte generativa na Babycastles Art Gallery em Nova York e o projeto de um resort no Vietnam em colaboração com Fraken Architekten em Frankfurt.
